Works phenomenally well, but requires constant cleaning of traps and filters By Todd Bartholomew I updated from an old Bissell Little Green Machine for this particular unit based mostly on my experience with all Bissell solutions. The PROheat has a variety of fine features that finally sold me on it and after using it for a couple of months now I’m quite delighted with it. I especially like that you may decide to have the heat on or off. I’ve heard some folks say that utilizing the heat can break your carpeting faster and cause the stain to get worse since it picks up fresh dirt that’s tracked in. I don’t know whether this ‘s not the situation, but because my older Bissell unit lacked warmth but did a nice job, I use this without the warmth. In spite of all the heat off I’m amazed at how good a job this unit will. It’s even cleaned stains I gave up as a lost cause. Most surprisingly, I usually vacuum before using the steamer and then vacuum once it’s dry. I’ve found I vacuum MORE dirt after steam cleaning than I did earlier. Certainly this system is chock loose built up grime that means cleaner and neater seeming carpeting than in the past. Additionally, I enjoyed the batter attachment from my older Little Green machine, particularly for upholstered pieces and hard to reach places and also this happily has that. But there are a few limitations and drawbacks. At least initially you may get a LOT of carpet fibers once you use the device, so FREQUENT cleanup of those rotating brushes and notably the multiple filters onto the device. In certain cases I wound up with tweezers to remove fibers in the especially compact filter on the bottom of the tank. The one on top is simpler to wash out, but particles snare nearly everywhere with this particular machine. The water tank carries a pitifully small amount of cleaning or water solution which means regular refills, and it slows down the entire cleaning procedure. The self included tank is easy to drain, but if you believe will remove smells from filthy water suspect again, it doesn’t. The tank does appear to flow or the seals don’t grip tight and so filthy water does accumulate in the well the tank stays in, which advertisements to the nasty scents in addition to adding yet another believe you need to wash up. Another especially annoying habit is that the filthy water seeping from the front part of the machine from the cleaning rollers once you turn away and keep the machine. This is truly disgusting and trust me, don’t save it on carpeting or perhaps leave it sitting for long since it WILL escape! Once in use loose fibers have a tendency to assemble on the bottom of the machine round the brush pliers so you have to collect this up by hand, which slows down the cleanup procedure. As soon as you’ve washed your carpet several times that issue (ideally ) must minimize, though it has yet to occur for me. Because of this there’s ‘s a substantial quantity of maintenance you must do in order to make sure your system is operating under optimal conditions. Nevertheless, it’s difficult to argue with the results. I’d probably purchase this exact same unit , however, would also read up on other versions just if they function more readily. Maybe I had been used to the absolute simplicity of the Little Green Machine and I wish I was using it, sad to say.

The carpeting which was in fairly bad shape has witnessed a definite advancement and IMHO a expert couldn’t have done a much better job. The cleaner was easy to build, simple to load with cleaning option (I enjoy the combo-tank notion!) , and quite easy to use.One disadvantage was that the limited size of this tank for holding cleaning option, I discovered myself refilling it 4 days to perform 3 rooms along with a lazy-boy seat. Obviously re-filling was easy to perform and also to be expected when purchasing the low-end version. Further, as with this sounds each these contraptions, the hand-held attachment could spray far to broad an angle but theres no special issue for this 1 cleaner.Overall, because of its cost, in case you’ve got a little home or flat and are on a limited budget or simply prefer to pinch a penny or two, I would recommend this Bissell.

Smith When my older Hoover SteamVac with Power Surge broke , I Truly hesitated before Purchasing the Bissell ProHeat. But when my regional Target store just had the Bissell in stock, I figured what the hell – should I examine it out and it doesn’t work nicely (as a number of the reviews stated ) I will only clean this up, repack and return to Target.Well, the Bissell outperforms the Hoover whatsoever! Tank dimensions – yes, Hoover is larger but the Bissell is a far better layout. The Hoover waste water tank is quite difficult to clean and empty without even spilling at least a few. The Bissell includes a unique pour spout.2. Heat – Bissell heats the water and this makes a large difference concerning picking http://cleanthiscarpet.com/bissell-little-green-proheat-machine-small-and-cheap and picking up dirt. Massive.3. Bissell upholstery tool functions better.4. Bissell is simple to clean and clean. The suction finish comes off easily for scratching; the waste container and lid are super easy to wash as well. There were a few complaints regarding the device jamming up or maybe not sucking. Here’s what I did:1. I took my time and hammering the guck from the tank every time before refilling.2. After the suction appeared to reduce, I ceased machine and washed out the hair and fuzz below the brush element. Worked fine after doing so.3. At one stage, the water didn’t appear to be getting suctioned up in any way. I called Bissell and they walked through to the problem: there’s a red valve at the tank which will halt the airflow when the tank is too complete. How can this happen? By overfilling at the first location. So don’t shirt off the tank or if you notice that the red valve comes up (you may listen to that it cease the suction) then vacant out some water from this tank.Overall, the layout is actually good – I really like the 1 tank to get both dirty and clean water, the simple fact that the water becomes hot and nice, the simplicity of cleaning the system. In cleaning my living area, bedroom and halls, I likely refilled tank roughly 8 times. Took a day to get it done except for pulling the carpet fuzz from the brush region, it was a clean and effortless operation.
